Murder.

Today's sermon is on the 6th commandment "thou shall not murder".

One may ask, how does the sixth commandment apply in today's society?
The definition of murder is the premediated assault of someone with the intent to take life away from him.
For most of us, it's beyond our sanity to be tempted to kill someone, literally.

Perhaps it may be due to circumstances such as the aspects of war that lives are taken away. But, we don't have it now, so how does the law apply to today's society?

Well, incase none of you have realised, there's a serious genocide out there, a form of legalised murder that has taken away millions of lives. It's entails a close proximity to a mass genocide, like the holocaust conducted by Adolf Hitler. And, it's very sad to say that, unfortunately, Singapore is the one country in Asia that have legalised it.

It is because of the 1969 mass illegal abortions that caused a burgeon in the lost of lives which led to the subsequent inauguration of legal abortions in Singapore in 1970. In 1985, the highest incidence of abortions, 23000+, was hit. In the past 6 years, approximately 83000 lives were taken due to abortion. Up to date, 534000+ lives has been lost in Singapore and 20 million in the United States of America.

The majority of this world, a system that we live in, advocate abortion, and mainly because a foetus isn't really a human being. Mainly because, the 'felony' in which we committed can't be seen. But i tell you the truth, the foetus that's forming in the mother's womb is a human being.

Before 1971, doctors describe foetuses as not being human beings as they do not possess any personal qualities, thus, it is alright to carry out an abortion. But in the year 1971, a breakthrough in foetology, amid many other machines, the ultrasound system was created. With the advent of that mechanism, we are now able to view the foetus as he or she grows in his or her mother's womb. We could even determine the foetus' gender with it.

Do you know how an abortion is carried out? There are three methods depending on which trimester the foetus is in.

In the first trimester, the foetus is still soft and fragile, thus abortion is a lot easier. The doctor would insert a syringe like mechanism into the patient's cervix and dilate it. The doctor would then move the syringe in and out of the lady's cervix until the amnion sac, the sac which contains a fluid called amniontic fluid which buoys up the foetus, bursts. In the process, while the foetus is still safe and secured in the sac, it would immediately sense the danger and swim away from the cervix. Finally when the sac bursts, the syringe would approach the foetus and as it makes it way, the foetus would open its mouth and give out a scream, a silent scream that no one would ever get to hear. The foetus would then have its limbs vacuumed out one by one. As the doctors remove them, he would use a code for each part of the limb. For eg, he would call the head "Number 1" because even the doctors know that this is murder. He wouldn't even dare to call the limb by its real name.

In the second trimester, as the foetus is already quite developed, a pair of giant forceps would be used to cut up the foetus before actually vacuuming it out.

Finally, in the third trimester, during the 20th week of gestation, the method used is slightly different. The doctor would insert a syringe and inject a salt solution into the amnion sac. The salt solution would then mix with the amniotic fluid to form a hazardous concoction which would be taken in by the foetus. After about two hours, this poison would cause the foetus to die of dehydration and suffocation. The worst part has yet to come. Amid all these, the foetus would be burnt alive, literally, by this poison. The doctor would then give the patient a pill called poxin (i'm not sure of the spelling) to stimulate labour. The foetus would then be borned, dead.

You see sometimes, it's just because we don't see it, that's why it's not considered as murder.
But what the masses say is okay, is not always okay.
What the world say is alright to do, is not always alright.

To be fair, in some circumstances, maybe not getting an abortion would land the mother or the foetus in danger. But as for the teenagers who want to have sex because it's fun? And probably after leaving the abortion room the teenager would go around and continue being promiscuous?

You know, there are actually girls as young as 14 or 15 years old going for abortions. And because they're under 18, their parents have to be informed. And guess what their parents said? "Be more careful next time". What is this world coming to? It's filled with all sorts of sinful and unscrupulous desires and thoughts.

So, to all the saints and readers out there, we know the truth. The gruesome truth.

Are we just going to stand by and watch, doing nothing about it. Or are we going to be the voice for the voiceless? Are we going to bring an end to this genocide, this holocaust?
Are we going to be the one who would say no when the whole world says yes?

It's time to choose.
