Gratitude

Have you ever taken someone for granted? What do you mean by take for granted? Do you mean expecting someone to be of a certain standard and believing he or she deserves to be berated when falling short of it? Something like scolding our parents when they care for us? Yea more or less. But, should we be doing that? Do you do that?

Forgiveness 2.

Someone accidentally hits you. You got angry. Out of being irate, you hit him back at the same spot, hoping that the person understands the pain that he or she has inflicted on you. You feel accomplished and relieved, glad.

Sounds familiar? Well, it's something that most of us, usually boys, would've done during our earlier adolescent years.

But why? Why the need for us to inflict the exact, same inexplicable, or for that instantaneous moment, the pain brought unto us? So that one may feel better? Or is it an alter ego, malicious, nudging us to do that, to agitate the person, because of something utterly vile - vengence.

Vengence is like a poison. It's virulent, and rules the heart with sovereignty. Either temporary or life-long, it's harmful, especially to the beholder of it.

Forgiveness, on the other hand, is something that has got to do with love, the cure of everything, and when we become love itself, things around us would start to change.

Contemplate about this, even if you did inflict the pain on the person, so what? So what if the person knew it was painful? So that he or she would never do it again? Well, if it's an accident, nobody called for it. If it's on purpose, you're just stooping to his or her level.

If the person has already apologized to you, then forgive him or her,whether with or without the intent of inflicting pain on you.

For it is written;

"3If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you saying, "I repent", forgive him" (Luke 17:3-4)

And even if he or she does not repent, do not get back at him, for it is written:

"But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also." (Matthew 5:39)

Thus, we have got to substitute the frustration you feel, when agonised, with love.

We have to love mercy, and forgive people of their wrongdoings.

It is not that difficult, we just have to love more.

Others before self.

Have you always wanted the best for others? Or do you give it up for the joy of others?

I believe that as singaporeans, we've witnessed the many self-centred and selfish qualities that burgeon during adulthood, unfortunately, and that one day we might follow suit inevitably as we grow up.

This altruism and optimism, ideal, which is ever so lacking in the adults, would soon fade away as time passes.

It's such a pity isn't it?

Reasons why people described this world as a very ugly and cruel one is probably due to the greed and the lack of selflessness of most of the people around us.

But, if we, the minority, would pour our love out like water from the springs and put others before ourselves, i believe that this world would be a much better off place to live in.

For it is written;

"Do for others what you want them to do." (Matthew 7:12)

If you give the best to others, they would definitely do the same.
God would reward you far more marvellously than you can imagine.

If you were to give the best to five people, these five people would do the same to you.
This way, you're actually getting five times more than you could've gotten if you were to reserve the best for yourself.

So i implore you, readers, to put others before yourself and to love your neighbours as you love yourself.

Would you be that somebody who is different amid the rest?

Would you be that light in the expanse of darkness?

It's time to choose...

Giving thanks.

Went to visit the principal today.
God answered a prayer i made some four weeks ago, which is to be able to return as Cadet Inspectors.
I didn't know why i made that prayer.
But anyways, i thought that it was quite impossible given the situation and circumstances then.
To my surprise, Mr Wong said that it is possible for us to return as Cadet Inspectors, as long as we do well for our term 3 examinations and that the other officers agree about it.

Thank God for that. :D

Anyway, i know it's a little late, but i'll still give my thanks to those who contributed significantly to the chalet, before, during, or after, and hope that you, too, would personally go and thank them:

Cheong Khi - OIC for the chalet, helping us to book in (most consequential!)
Shin Fen - AIC for the chalet, transferring of money for the BBQ, buying of the 1.5l bottled drinks of the BBQ
Annabel - AIC for the chalet, controlling the crowd at times, fetching and sending off the teachers (miss tan and miss tnee), bringing Mindhunters
Nicholas - one of the organizers, providing a volley ball, IC for games, controlling the crowd
Zhen Ning - one of the supervisors of the chalet, booking the chalet, setting up the bbq pit's fire Wei Long - helping to set up the BBQ pit's fire
See Yuan - BBQ OIC (quite a tedious job to keep on tasked)
Hansen - bringing his consoles XBOX 360 and PS2 (they are very heavy altogether)
Jia En -for taking 441 pictures and 4 videos
Ying Ting - for taking 150 pictures
Darrin, Sin Yee and Gwee Jie - for being ever so rhapsodical about BBQing
Brandon - for helping to gather the people before the chalet

I had sore throat. Painful when i swallowed my saliva.

I drank water, but it was painful.

Then, i took another cup of water, said a lil prayer, something like "Father please heal me as i drink this water".

And i drank the water.

Poof, no more sore throat.!

Amazing day.

Not very amazing that i missed the Amazing Race: Youth Impact Edition.
But, to be able to bring Tricia to church is amazing enough!

Okay something amazing today.

Tricia was supposed to reached home by 9.00p.m, but service ended at 8.30! Which meant that even if the bus came on time she'll still be late. In addition, her mother would get angry with her and her district and precient in Ang Moh Kio is obnoxious for its high robbery rate.

Anyways, she missed her bus (bus 852) which is very demoralising, and thus, decided to take a cab. It was about 8.40 then, and a cab would take about 20 minutes to get from my church to her house in Ang Mo Kio. Very worrying. She was also perturbed by the fact that she might not have enough money.

In the end, she just took a cab home.

After awhile i received an sms, and wells, praise the Lord!

She took only 12 minutes, got a huge discount from the taxi driver and her mother did not even get angry at her, not a single bit!

Coolio.

God is cool haha.

4D1 class Chalet

Shagged and exhausted right now.

First i would like to extend my thanks to Cheong Khi (OIC), Shin Fen (AIC) and Annabel for planning such a wonderful chalet. Really did quite a good job. Most of the problems that arised during the chalet is either a chalet problem or social problem.

Thank God it did not rain.
We managed to carry out the outdoor activities quite smoothly due to the apt weather.
There was quite some bonding during the games part and everyone mixed quite evenly.
Class spirit!

First we had Dog and Bone, which my team won, followed by captain's ball which was won by the other team. The interim forfeit was for the whole class to sing "Ran Shao Ba" to Miss Janet Tan but she decided not to join/pang Seh us at the end.

After which, we went to the same place and had water bombs! YAY WOW! Which was unfortunately disrupted by some corpulent man who hurled virulent abuses and profanities at us, or atleast to the people there then. The situation could have been well handled. Sighs.
Atleast we managed a few shots at one another.

There after, we had BBQ. Probably made a wrong decision in getting 30 pax basic. The quantity of the food was a bummer. But the financial crisis in the class was detrimental to not being able to buy the 30 pax meaty. Nevermind, e-x-p-e-r-i-e-n-c-e.

Miss Tnee and Miss Tan Wen Yi (annabel was overjoyed and jubilant) joined us at about 9pm.
Camwhoring for like 30 minutes.

Some of the people went to the arcade while some stayed to catch up with the teachers. Miss Tan told us about some ghost story about the 4th storey's boy's toilet in the old campus. Annabel is really crazy. Miss Tan bought us a packet of ribena each and Annabel wanted to frame up hers -.-. Awesome.

Later at the chalet, we just slacked at started to talk about stuffs which are totally irrelevant to us. Jian De was in the vogue then.

Brandon: they keep talking about all the good things about jian de but they're missing out an important point which is that he would never want them -.-

I think what he said was very coolio.

Some of us just tonned the whole night.

Went home at about 10.30 and reached home at 12.00.

With reference to a post from a not so distant past, i believe that i've asserted the fact that i decry teenage relationships. so please end these rumours that i have a thing for Wendy.

I admit that i've become more loving than in the past, but it's definitely nothing near limerence. I can proudly declare that i am not besotted with anyone.

I am merely pouring love onto everyone i come into contact with as in accord with my post name, "visible love opens invisible hearts". :D

So i implore the world to fixate less on juvenile infatuations and focus more on generic and platonic love for everyone.

Suggestions.

I cannot decide for anybody, but i can offer good advice and suggestions.

Please do not get into a relationship until you're twenty/twenty-one.

Only then, are you matured enough.

I love everybody and decry anyone of age 16 - 19 getting into any relationships.

Today was a day well spent.

Wee Yong, Shin Fen, Tricia, Nicholas and I went to the Kbox at chevrons.

Was very shy initially, but overcame the barrier thereafter.

Cheong Khi joined us after awhile, and i think that her singing is very good.

Shin fen's singing is also very good but she very very scared pai seh so she only sang one song -.-. lol.

Went for dinner thereafter, ate at IMM.

Tricia's birthday party...

Supposedly schemed of six dollars, Annabel and I took a cab to Petals Condo. The cab driver presumably was confounded by the plethora of immaculate condominiums such as the Hillview Heights, Hillview Green etc, and wasted around five dollars. Cool.

Played basketball for ten minutes. Then everybody left.:( Nvm, more opportunities to bond with the class during the upcoming class chalet from 12th-13th.

Poor Darrin's phone got stolen. Everybody tried their best to contribute and help but to no avail. There are five irritating people there but i still love them for we have to love everybody. Love mercy.:)

CtWinds Concert

Very drained right now.

Tonned for the second time this year, probably the last till maybe chalet, which is next week.

Okay, what am i saying? Probably the deprivation of sleep is causing all these.

I am very sleepy now. Gotta catch some sleep before going out again.

Anyway, a little about the CtWind's concert.

Zhen Ning, Jie Run and Nicholas first came to my house yesterday to put down their bags as they're staying over at my house for the night.

We left at about 3.30pm for Suntec city and made our way to PizzaHut for a late lunch/early dinner. Likewise the norm, Wei Yang has successfully carried out his routine to once again reincarnate and reinstate the fact that he has quite an amazingly inexplicable punctuality problem.

Anyway, we headed for Victoria Concert hall soon after finishing our luncheon. Met up with Ying Ting, Tricia and Quan Mei (donuts) at the City Link. The map provided was rather ambiguous, leving most of us confounded. But, thanks to all the NPCC heritage races/tours we had, i had a rough idea on how to get to the hall.

At the hall, we got ourselves the best seats (hehe) and sort of reserved the whole row. While Quan Mei was gleefully enjoying her donuts from you know who i want to say but i can't, Jie Run was waiting for Tammy and I was just waiting outside for fun. Then, the malay auntie usher told me that she thought i was a taiwanese.lol.

Wei Long's posse of friends were all equiped with a pair of very elegant and crisp pair of skinny jeans. Everybody ought to get one. It looks super macho man. Wow. I wonder why only some people get them. It's like in the vogue -.-.

Jie Run:" EH! you all suffocating your cock ar?!"

lol.cool right.

Moreover, today marks the day where a plethora of revelations of dark secrets with pertinence to the ever in the vogue topic for teens - infatuations - was made. It's normal to have a crush ya? Yes, it is. However, like i've said before, i cannot decide for you, but only offer good advice and suggestions, in that, you get into a relationship only when you're twenty one; which is when you are ready for one.

Digressing, the concert was magnificent, well, atleast for me. I think that Cheong Khi's very cool. She's very adept with the drums, especially when the band was playing the arabic piece. Anyway, the whole band really did clementi town proud.

Thereafter, Zhen Ning, Jie Run, Nicholas and I travelled to Jurong Point after Wei Yang parng sehed us like usual lol. We caught a midnight movie there. Kung Fu panda rocks man. Very cool. lol. A ludicrous and hilarious show i must say, yet at the same time powerful.
