It's been an exhausting yet utterly edifying 2 days for me, though i missed the first session.
The pastor's funny, the conference is 100% beneficial, especially for everything that i am going through.
Anyway, Radical conference really spoke to me.
I must emphasize on how timely it was for me.
I thought that it'll end there, but it did not.
One of my friends, betrayed me to save himself, and he made it sound like he did nothing, which i know is not true and God knows it isn't true.
Anyway, i was fraught with a lot of anger and anguish when i came to know about what he did.
During the conference, pastor Preston (/votran) said that it's painful to get betrayed.
It's just that, some people get bitter, while some people gets better.
Jesus was betrayed by Judas, whom he treats as his brother. He knew he was going to get betrayed. When one of His follower sliced off the ear of the priest's servant, who was going to arrest him, he retorted "No more of this!", and went up to heal the casualty's ears.
From this, we can see that, betrayal is painful, agonising. However, amid all the pain, betrayal, sorrow, Jesus healed the injured man who was going to arrest Him.
Jesus forgave the people and loved them despite all that they've done to Him.
As His followers, we should also do the same.
So what if others hurt us.
They hurt us, yes, but it's already over. If we allow this hatred to dwell in us, and if it remains in us long enough, it'll take over out thoughts, and we will harbour negative thoughts about that person.
If we want to be forgiven, we got to be forgivers.
